Information We Collect
Profile and account information
If you enter it, SnapReceipts may store your name, email address, and phone number. If you create an account, we use Supabase authentication to provide anonymous, email, and password-based account access.
Receipt, project, and shopping-list content
SnapReceipts stores the receipt details you create in the app, including store names, dates, totals, tax, categories, line items, receipt images, projects, reports, shopping lists, and shared collaboration content.
Smart Parser and OCR text
When you use Smart scans, SnapReceipts sends OCR receipt text and related receipt fields to the SnapReceipts server to help auto-read receipt details. Receipt images are not sent to the Smart Parser. OCR text may be processed by our server provider and AI processing provider to return editable receipt fields.
Purchases and Smart scan balances
Purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. SnapReceipts stores subscription, recharge, credit balance, and usage information needed to show your plan, Smart scan balance, purchase status, and ad-free eligibility.
Ads, consent, and diagnostics
SnapReceipts uses Google AdMob and Google's consent tools to show ads to free users and manage privacy choices. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers, device information, product interaction, advertising data, and diagnostics according to your consent choices and Google policies.
iCloud backup
If iCloud is available and enabled, SnapReceipts may use iCloud or CloudKit as a personal backup path for app data. iCloud is provided by Apple and is governed by Apple's privacy terms.
How We Use Information
- To scan, save, organize, and display receipts.
- To create projects, shopping lists, reports, and shared collaboration spaces.
- To provide Smart scans and improve receipt parsing accuracy.
- To manage subscriptions, Smart scan balances, rewarded bonuses, and ad-free status.
- To show ads to eligible free users and provide privacy choices.
- To keep the app secure, troubleshoot issues, and maintain performance.
Sharing and Collaboration
When you create an invite or public link, the people with access to that link may be able to view or edit the shared project or shopping list, depending on the link type and permissions. Do not share private receipt information with people you do not trust.
Third-Party Services
SnapReceipts may use Apple services, Supabase, Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, and server-side AI processing providers to operate the app. These services process data only as needed to provide authentication, storage, collaboration, ads, consent, diagnostics, and Smart scan features.
Your Choices
- You can edit or delete receipts, projects, shopping lists, and profile details in the app.
- You can manage ad privacy choices from the app's Settings when Google requires a privacy options form.
- You can disable or recreate public share links when sharing controls are available.
- You can request help with account or data questions by contacting us.
Data Retention
We keep app data for as long as needed to provide SnapReceipts features, maintain your account, support collaboration, comply with legal obligations, and resolve issues. Deleted local data may remain briefly in backups or logs before being removed.
Children
SnapReceipts is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as SnapReceipts changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, when appropriate, notify users in the app or on this page.
